Razuna Desktop 1.1.7 brings search and performs faster

We are extremely excited to announce a major upgrade to Razuna Desktop which brings it up to version 1.1.7. Razuna Desktop brings you the Razuna experience to your desktop and has seen major adoption among users of Razuna.

A lot of people have downloaded the application as it provides the easiest way to upload your assets to the Razuna Server. So, it was no question for us, to extend the functionality of Razuna Desktop. Version 1.1.7 brings you the following new features and improvements;

Search
This new release brings you the Razuna search right to your desktop. Simply enter your search string and Razuna Desktop shows you all the results.

Speed improvements
The code for the folders and collections has been rewritten and there is a lot of caching going on behind the scenes. What this means for you as the end user? Major speed improvements both in the folder navigation and in showing you the content of the folders.

Custom Logo
Furthermore, the new Razuna Desktop 1.1.7 will show your custom logo.

There are many more fixes and enhancements under the hood and we think it makes up a pretty impressive Razuna Desktop release.

Razuna Desktop 1.1.7 is available for download as of immediately at http://razuna.org. Users of existing clients, can install the update right within Razuna Desktop.

New Upload component for Razuna

Due to the fact that uploading for MacOS X users with RazunaDesktop currently fails (see our post why this is so) we have just updated the Razuna Hosted Version with a new Upload component, which we simply call RazunaUploader.

The RazunaUploader allows you to select as many files as you wish for uploading and shows you the progress of your uploads. You can also select to remove individual files and choose to extract, or not, ZIP archives after the upload.

The RazunaUploader is already available for all customers of our Razuna Hosted Platform and will be released in the general Razuna download version with Razuna 1.3.5.
