Keeping up with the demand

In the recent couple of months we have seen strong demands for our Razuna Hosted Platform and our Razuna Cloud Servers. So much so, that we just expanded our server platform and our database server. After all, we now have over 5000 accounts and manage close to a million of assets for them.

Since these numbers are increasing daily, we started some time ago to scale and build a environment that can keep up with our customers demands. There are a couple of factors in play here, one is the code of Razuna, one the database and one the hardware. In the past months, customers saw that we continuously improved performance by streamlining all components involved.

This weekend we finally finished our move to a new database server and made updates the Razuna code to include database caching. With the new database server and the caching we see that have not only a more stable system, but could also increase the performance for Razuna.

We are happy to see that first reactions to the change have been very positive. We are slowly rolling out the Razuna code changes to all Cloud Server customers in the coming hours. Of course, the Razuna code changes will be included in the upcoming Razuna 1.4.1 release for those who run a self hosted Razuna.

Razuna Hosted Platform comes new with a 30-day free trial for the PRO account

The very popular Razuna Hosted Platform – the hosted option for the Razuna Digital Asset Management – comes now with a 30-day free trial for the PRO account.

The PRO account comes with enhanced features and lets you make full use for converting assets to different formats, user and group permissions, securing your shared folders and more.

Here is a short FAQ about the new 30-day free trial and the Razuna Hosted Platform in general.

How does the 30-day free trial work?

The 30-day free trial means that you can use Razuna for 30 days for free without being charged in any way. If you don’t cancel your account during the 30-day trial your account will convert to a PRO account. You will be charged the first time after another 30 days.

Can I upgrade from the trial to a payed account without losing anything?

If you continue to use your PRO account after the 30-day trial you don’t have to do anything else, then just use it. All of your settings and assets will continue to work as before.

Can I upgrade from the FREE to the PRO account?

Yes, you can upgrade within Razuna to the PRO account with a single click. All of your settings will be migrated as well. The 30-day free trial will not apply to your account. This is only if you sign up now for a PRO account.

Are there any long term contracts?

No, Razuna is a month-to-month service. There are no long term contracts and you have no commitments.

How do I get charged and what payment do you accept?

We calculate your monthly rate by the storage and bandwidth you have used. From those two values we take the higher value and multiply it by $1.80. Example: You use 40GB of storage and 30GB of bandwidth, we will only charge you the 40GB. Meaning you would get the bandwidth for free.

Is my data safe and secure with you?

All of our servers are upgraded to keep up with the latest security patches. Our network is protected by firewalls and you even have the option to access all your data over a secure connection (SSL).

What’s the difference between this version and the open source one?

Some teams or organizations simply don’t want to maintain their own Razuna server. For those, we created the hosted Razuna version. We use the same code and features that we also publish under an open source license. We believe in freedom and love to empower our customers.

Can I migrate from the hosted to a Cloud Server or to a self hosted Razuna?

Yes. You can export all your data on here and import them into your self hosted one. If you migrate to a Razuna Cloud Server we will help you also.

Razuna 1.3.5 is here – more power to the open source digital asset management

Razuna Ltd. today announced the general availability of Razuna 1.3.5, a major upgrade to the world’s most advanced open-source Digital Asset Management System. Razuna has seen major adoption at organizations throughout the world, and is free to download and use. Performance Enhancements

All in all there are over 70 changes, bug fixes, design fixes and under the hood improvements in Razuna 1.3.5. Customers of our Razuna Hosted Platform are already working with the latest Razuna version and have been enjoying those improvements already.

Razuna is the perfect companion for managing all your asset in the most convenient way. On the other hand, WordPress is the perfect Blog and CMS for maintaining your website and your blog.

It is with great pleasure that we are announcing the immediate availability of the Razuna WordPress plugin! With it, you will be able to choose assets within Razuna on your WordPress powered site. No need to upload or import them to WordPress.

If you are running a WordPress site, we encourage you to install the plugin now. It is also available within WordPress! Simply search for Razuna and the plugin will show up.
