We just released the first release candidate of the Razuna 1.6. Since the Beta release in April of this year we have added a couple of new features, too. The most notable ones are:
Smart Folders – Saved searches and the Dropbox and Amazon S3 file browser
Smart Folders is a concept that we have been talking about at Razuna for some time. In short, the Smart Folders feature consists of two sections; Saved Searches and browsing your Dropbox and Amazon S3 accounts.
Many, many customers use the sophisticated search within Razuna daily. Now, we made it even easier to use the search by giving you the option to save your search as a smart folder. Thus, with one single click you can generate a “live” folder view of your files. The saved search works with any kind of search and can be shared with your co-workers, too.
Browse your Dropbox and Amazon S3 account(s)
Your organisation might already utilise a Dropbox or Amazon S3 account. By adding these accounts to your Razuna installation you will now be able to give your team a file browser directly within Razuna to these files. Files can be downloaded individually and in batches in order to bring all your files into a centralised location.
Yes, it is finally here – the good old “Trash” that we have become so fond of from our desktop applications and operating system is now finally in Razuna, too. It is such a commodity nowadays that there is actually nothing else to say then; “You have it now in Razuna, too”.
Re-Designed Explorer View
With the introduction of the Smart Folder and Trash function we are also introducing a new way to quickly switch between these sections. We now have a “Quick Selection” option that allows you to swiftly switch between the folder, smart folder, collection and label section.
Create a rendition from a rendition
Many of our customers love how they can quickly create different formats from a image, video or audio file. We’ve extended this a bit further, where as you can create an additional rendition from a existing rendition. Something, that many of our video centric customers wanted for some time.
Razuna 1.6 – the most complete open source Digital Asset Management solution
