As you probably know, we are in the finishing stages of testing Razuna 1.6 before releasing it to the public. It contains more than 250 bug fixes, enhancements and new features. I know Nitai and the team has been hard at it and some of the new features are really impressive. I almost can’t wait for it to hit the streets.
One small feature, which I personally faught hard to get released before time is the ability to add thumbnail images to folders. I may not sound like a big deal to you, but the reality is that it has huge impact on what you can do with shared folders.
Shared folder icons
So far – a shared folder would show a traditional folder icons, like this It looks nice enough, but imagine you want to share all sorts of images tugged into any number of subfolders. Then – it doesn’t immediately give you a good overview as all the folders look alike and online the folder name separates them.
With the new folder thumbnail feature, you can choose any image as the folder icon. It could be an image you upload or you can quickly choose between any of the images in the folder.
Danish furniture design brand, GlobeZero4, jumped right in
I was talking to one of our customers about this feature, since they rely havily on sharing folders with their customers, the press and dealers. It’s the famous Danish furniture brand, GlobeZero4. They embed Razuna directly on their website in order to provide access to images and video of all their designs. And to avoid updating all these digital assets in multiple locations, they keep everything in Razuna and share on their website using the shared folder widget.
So – a couple of minutes after talking about it, their marketing manager sent me a link and the following short message
All folder icons uploaded. That just improved the clarity by a couple of hundred percent. Thanks.
Take a look at judge for yourself here. I just love it, when customers embrace our new features and like them. I’m sure with the full release of 1.6 I will be a very happy man indeed.
