As you may have probably seen, we launched our partner program in the fall of 2012, which is the result of part strategy and part people calling us up. As is most sensible business decisions.
Looking at it from our side, the partner program is of course designed to accellerate our growth and expand our reach through partners. But there’s a little more to it. Since our partners typically have diverse needs and target diverse verticals, we also get valuable input and insight and thus are able to improve the core product, Razuna, itself. So far our partner program has played an important role in the development of the Razuna Workflow plugin and the the Akamai plugin. Also the redone watermarketing feature is in fact a result of a partner need.
Why should I become a partner?
If you are in a business, where you or yur customers need to organize and distribute media, you should definately consider partnering with us. And – in fact – most businesses have this need, and the headache is increasing. Looking at an average Razuna customer, they grow their media storage by more than 30% a year. If you or your customers use FTP or just store images and video directly in the CMS or E-commerce repository, you will probably already have experienced the nightmare of keeping track of your media. We make the nightmare go away.
What type of partners do you have?
We have three basic types of partners:
- OEM (or technology) partner
- Implementation partner
- Reseller partner
The OEM partners use Razuna’s extensive API to embed Razuna DAM functionality right into their own software. This is what you have seen f.ex. WorldNow do with their CMS platform for the broadcasting industry, where Razuna is simply embedded at the core to enable users to work more easily with media. We have many more of these partners, which cover diverse software such as CMS, Email marketing, PIM etc.
The integration partners are for the specialists. The businesses that really understand DAM and MAM and help companies develop af DAM strategy and implement software to handle it. Since Razuna can be installed on premise or in the cloud – and even has an open source version – we offer many opportunities for our implementation partners to solve their customer’s problems.
The reseller partners are anything from media agencies to hosting companies that have seen the benefit from offering Razuna to their customers. This brings monthly revenues and happy customers. Since we have a white label platform, we actually allow our partners to launch their own branded DAM to their customers. This means you can change colors, logo, skin it etc. in order to offer a completely non-Razuna branded DAM to you market.
