Update to the Razuna WordPress plugin

We just released a update to our very popular Razuna WordPress plugin, which brings it to version 0.8.5. If you are using Razuna together with WordPress we highly recommend that you upgrade the plugin to this release. As always, you can upgrade within WordPress.

In this upgrade we fixed the issues that some users were seeing that some folders did not show properly, despite them being available within Razuna. Furthermore, we are now showing all folders properly for a user in the Administrator group and list the UploadBin folder in the folder tree, also.

Razuna & WordPress

The Razuna WordPress plugin allows you to choose assets within Razuna on your WordPress powered site. There is no need to upload or import them to WordPress. If you are running a WordPress site, we encourage you to install the plugin now. It is also available within WordPress! Simply search for Razuna and the plugin will show up.

Updates available: Razuna 1.4.2, Razuna Desktop 1.2 and Razuna WordPress Plugin

Razuna 1.4.2

Razuna 1.4.2 is now available and is a bug fix release to all previous Razuna versions. If you are running Razuna 1.4.1 or Razuna 1.4 we encourage you to upgrade to Razuna 1.4.2 as soon as possible.

Razuna 1.4.2 brings over 30 fixes and brings major improvements for adding ZIP archives to Razuna, a major improvement to the way we do backups and imports and speed improvements during adding assets. Additionally, we are introducing a new ID system to the database and last but not least we have changed the way assets are shown in the folder overview which lets you view the assets according to the width of your browser. You can read more about Razuna 1.4.2 at the dedicated release notes.

If you are upgrading from a previous Razuna version please pay special attention how you have to upgrade to Razuna 1.4.2.

Razuna Desktop 1.2

Razuna Desktop 1.2 is another major release which is needed in order to work with Razuna 1.4.2. Among many enhancements behind the scenes 2 new features stand out.

For one, you can now view your assets within Razuna on your desktop by double clicking on the asset itself. Say you have a image and want to view the original file you simply double click the asset within Razuna Desktop and it will open your default image viewer.

The other new feature is that you are able to collect some images and publish them as a gallery on your own server. What Razuna Desktop is actually doing is to download the selected images and will save those assets in a dedicated folder along with a custom HTML file which you can then deploy on your live server.

Razuna WordPress 0.8.1

If you want to upgrade to Razuna 1.4.2 and are using our popular WordPress plugin then we encourage you to upgrade the WordPress plugin at your nearest convenience.  Razuna WordPress plugin 0.8.1 is needed in order to work with Razuna 1.4.2, otherwise you will get errors. You can upgrade within WordPress.

Razuna 1.4.2 is available immediately over at http://razuna.org. As always you have the option to use our preconfigured Razuna Virtual Server, download the dedicated Razuna Standalone Server or deploy to your own J2EE-Server with our Razuna WAR/EAR distribution.
