How difficult is it to add support for new digital formats as they come out? Most DAM products should not have a problem with "new formats". Especially, formats are not changing much. In that regard vendors can work with proposed formats before their release dates and could push out updates to their products.Currently, all formats in use are well established and should be supported by all systems. In the end, the DAM should help you manage all you assets and not enforce a limitation on you. Some systems, like Razuna, offer you additional functionalities for some formats. As a example, within Razuna you can convert videos and images on the fly to the most used formats.2. Images and ConversionI can only speak for Razuna. The concept of Razuna is that you store your original image which will never be altered again. From that image you are then able to convert it to any size and any format of your desire.Once again, I apologize for the late response. Please feel free to contact me anytime again.Kind Regards,

A related question is can I use the DAM to "upgrade" to new formats (i.e. mpeg -> mpeg4) or do i need to do this manually?2) If I store static images at high resolutions can a DAM be setup to deliver that image at lower resolution on the fly? Or should I be storing each DPI value for an image into the DAM itself and mark it accordingly.thanks
