Another big new from the IT world. Sun Microsystems announced that it has agreed to acquire open source database leader MySQL AB for $1 billion in cash and assumed stock options.

Macworld 2008 keynote in 60 seconds
My favorite search engine Mahalo brings you Mahalo Daily which turned the 90 minutes keynote from Steve Jobs into a 60 seconds “all you need to know” clip. This is perfect and fun to watch. Now, if you can not spend 60 seconds to watch it, then you really need to ask your self “what is wrong with me” 
ColorZilla 2 Beta available
ColorZilla, one of my favorite Plug-Ins for FireFox right next to the Web-Developer toolbar, is now available in Beta for Version 2.
The Beta brings support for FireFox 3, Firebug, Ubuntu support and runs on Linux, Windows and MacOS X and much more. If you have not installed it yes, go ahead and give it a try.
Speaking of FireFox 3 and the Web Developer toolbar. Unfortunately, I don’t see any sign that the Web Developer toolbar has a beta or anything available for FireFox 3 yet. If anybody knows anything, I would be happy to know, since this plug in is important for us and stops me from trying FireFox 3.
