There is this very cool plugin for Apple’s Safari Browser called AcidSearch. AcidSearch is a search enhancement for Safari. It adds unlimited “Search Channels” to the Google search field. Channels can be customized in a nearly infinite variety of ways. AcidSearch also includes powerful features such as JavaScript support, the ability to import iSeek and Butler Search Sites, true hierarchical menu organization, and the ability to search multiple search engines at the same time.
But there is quite a bug when you turn on “Find as you type” because once you do so, it will disable the “Delete Key” functionality which allows you to “Go Back”. This is the case on MacOS X 10.4.9, Safari 2.0.4, AcidSearch 0.62 on an Intel machine.
So if this is the case on your Safari installation then disable “Find as you type” which can be found in the AcidSearch preferences (as shown in the screenshot below).

I am posting this because after 2 weeks of frustration that the Delete Key is not working anymore and searching the web for any solutions and turning up without any results I thought this would help anybody in the future.
