Oracle brings you Enterprise Linux with Support

It is final! Oracle announced Unbreakable Linux during the Oracle Open World Show. Now, since there is a big player entering the Linux market this is going to be interesting what will happen in the future:-)

This is very exciting because one can go and download Enterprise Linux from the Oracle website and deploy it immediately with full Enterprise support.

Watch the Keynote of Larry Ellison and how he talks about Linux in general and the story of Oracle and Linux at the Oracle Linux dedicated website at http://www.oracle.com/linux.

Get FireFox 2.0 already

Looks like the Mozilla team has already put the final release of FireFox 2.0 on their FTP site. So if you want go ahead and grab your copy at ftp.mozilla.org.

Internet Explorer 7 available

Ok, Internet Explorer 7 is finally available. To be honest I don’t know if this is a good thing or not, but I am sure that MS has done some things right. In our beta testing some sites have not worked so well, but the latest RC candidates looked good. Since FireFox 2.0 is not a big step forward I think that IE can take away some shares from them (again). Let’s see and decide for yourself.

Microsoft Vista will limit client license (time for a change?)

I just read that Microsoft witll limit the transfer of Vista from a Windows XP unlimited time to a one timer. Actually the correct wording is: “When Windows Vista is available, consumers will be able to transfer the OS license they purchase to only one machine other than the one for which they originally buy Vista”.

The whole post can be read here. Make up your own opinion!
